Data Centre, Dublin 2022

We worked on this Dublin project with a dedicated Data Centre delivery partner that provides clients with turnkey solutions. The project involved the construction of a Central Administration Building and two 2-storey data centres.

Each data centre included data halls, admin blocks and a variety of mechanical and electrical plant areas/structures.

Atlas™ Loading Gantry Launch

In collaboration with the contractor, a unique loading gantry system using CAS components was devised to service the data centres. This allowed for large, heavy plant and equipment, such as Main Switch Board (MSB) panels, power distribution units (PDUs), air handling units, and load banks to be safely transferred into the buildings for specialised fit-out.

A bespoke loading gantry system was designed for this unique task of heavy-duty loading for specialised, high-value items. The versatility of this gantry is far superior to a regular scaffold, as it was positioned at some length away from the building, which optimised crane positions. This allows for the lifting and loading of the fragile items, which are then carefully skated into position inside the building.  

Benefits over a traditional Scaffold Gantry:

• Quicker to build
• High weight capacity
• Reduced number of ties
• Capacity to transport bulky, specialised technical equipment directly to the level they are needed when combined with hoists and/or using site crane

This solution became the inaugural application of the CAS Atlas™ loading gantry.
